How to choose a companion for a business dinner in Moscow

Author:

In short

A business dinner is a negotiation, not a date. What you need from a companion is not "decoration" but the ability to fit the context: read the meeting format, hold an even neutral small talk, and not pull attention onto herself.

Four criteria the editors check

1. Experience in business formats. A date with a girlfriend and an investor dinner require different skills. Ask how many corporate events, business receptions, and industry conferences the companion has worked. It shows in the portfolio and in how she frames the answer.

2. Dress code for the format. In Moscow, business formal at dinner means a sober knee-length dress, minimum jewellery, neutral palette. At a gala — a full-length evening dress with covered shoulders if the protocol is conservative. The companion should know the difference and have the wardrobe ready.

3. Languages. If foreigners will be at the meeting, this is not "school-programme English" but a B2–C1 conversational level. Ask specifically: which subjects can she sustain in English — art, sport, business news, travel?

4. District. In the district where she has her own network, a companion is more at ease. Patriarch's Ponds, Central District, Arbat — each has its own atmosphere, and a local companion adapts her style faster.

What should not appear in a profile

— A by-the-hour price grid with a "1-2-3-6 hours" breakdown. Social companionship is priced per meeting, not per hour. — Sheer or provocative photos in the portfolio. They signal a different market segment. — Vague wording about "additional services". There is one service — social companionship.

How to book

Open the catalogue → pick a profile → use the booking form on the page or the editors' Telegram. The manager replies within 30 minutes, 24/7. Confirmation and the meeting can happen on the day of enquiry if the companion is free.
